Welcome to 2017 – the year of HYIP and 24-hour online. Most recently we were happy about the opportunity to read mail on the smartphone on the road, and today the blogger ASUS ZenFone Live came to our office for video broadcasts. This device is specially sharpened for streams and selfies, and its appearance and begs for a heated discussion. Let’s see if ASUS has succeeded in creating an accessible tool for young creators who are ready to do everything to be “number one” in the trends.

Packing and equipment

The device is delivered in a small cardboard box with a neat appearance and coloration in the tone of the case. In addition to the smartphone inside, there is a charging with a current of 1 A, a USB cable, a brief instruction and a “clip” in the form of an emoticon.

Appearance

The design of plastic ASUS ZenFone Live is pretty standard. The entire front part is covered with a rounded touch glass with a thin plastic frame along the contour.

Ergonomics

Looking at the numbers indicated in the table and presenting the dimensions of the five-inch ASUS ZenFone Live, it is possible to predict the level of convenience from its daily use. The rounded case is quite slippery, but it’s comfortable to operate the smartphone with one hand, and the weight of 120 grams at first seems suspicious – but it’s true, and the hand does not get tired with long conversations.

On the quality of manufacturing all the nit-picking only to plastic: nothing creaks and done neatly, but the feeling of solidity does not arise. But the durability at a good level: during the time of careless testing on the body, there were no dents and rubs, as well as scratches on the glass.

Screen

The device has a 5-inch TFT-IPS matrix with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, which provides a comfortable image sharpness, but without claims for printing quality.

Color rendering without significant complaints, but up to full compliance with the standards of RGB and NTSC clearly does not hold out. There is a slight deficit of contrast and slightly overestimated temperature of white, but this can be corrected in the display settings.

Camera

Well, now about the cameras. The smartphone has a five-megapixel front camera module with a point size of 1.4 microns and an LED flash to illuminate the night sefi. The main 13-megapixel camera with autofocus optics is also equipped with a flash. For her in the application provides a cloud of ready-made scenes to choose from, extreme night mode and “super HDR” – hands and itching to try the camera in the case.

Autonomy

Built-in battery for 2650 mAh does not support fast charging, and a complete network adapter with a current of 1 A fully charges the device in three hours.

Full charge is enough for a day of active use. With a more sparing mode – half an hour of calls, three hours of music, another hour of games / video and up to an hour of social networks with a backlight level of 70% – the smartphone’s lifetime can be stretched to a day and a half. An hour of battle on tanks takes 31% of the charge, and cyclic viewing of HD-video in the mode “Flight” lasted 9 hours and 21 minutes. “Synthetic” PCMark with such results in general agreed.

Outcomes

As a result of testing ASUS ZenFone Live left the impression of a smartphone with an attractive bright appearance and a good set of characteristics for an attractive price. True, blogger positioning here begins dangerously to intersect with a click-beat – Live-broadcast in VGA-resolution will be appreciated only by the loyal elite of subscribers. If you throw aside trendy things, the device can be easily recommended to inexperienced users who do not want to waste time experimenting with firmware.

Pros:

  • design, color and light weight;
  • an abundance of modes and scenes in the camera;
  • universal makeup for video.

Minuses:

  • obsolete “iron”;
  • plastic body.
